The Art Contract regulated all my interactions with the art system 2001 to 2016. The contract was an ethical document of intention, which I submitted in order to mediate the negotiations with art spaces which manifested interest in showing the “registers of my life”. The Art Contract became a very radical work, since it questioned sponsorships from large financial groups, oil and mining companies that use ‘artwash’ to cleanse their corporate image. As a consequence, the contract isolated my practice that became invisible for more than 16 years.
